EVO this year is @ the Rio Hotel and Casino

I’m really excited for EVO this month! A bunch of my good friends from Singapore are going to Vegas to compete with the world. So far we have XIAN (aka Mago Killer), GACKT (Last Boss) and LESLIE (Gayest Sagat ever) getting sponsored to go compete and SPORE (One of the few surviving Elf’s in the world)/HZY (Master of random midscreen unblockable burning kick into ultra ) and VINTAGESOUL (RF Killa) who will also be going there as well to take home the medal and glory for both SF4AE and MVC3. This is one of the biggest Singaporean contingent ever for an international tournament and with so many good players going I’m positive that you guys will make a splash at EVO this year.

From a foreign perspective, its really hard to tell exactly just how much effort has been put in just to get these players sponsored to go. So I just have a few words I would like to say to my fellow Singaporean comrades, friends and competitors who will be heading to EVO:

- To Xian: The determination and effort that Xian has shown this past year to show the world what he is made of is really amazing and I wish him all the best. Its really amazing to see Xian’s growth in this past couple of years. I’m not going to bother saying make us proud, because on many levels, you already have.

- To Leslie:  I’m also really relieved and glad that Leslie also gets to go EVO as well. Trying to pull Leslie out of army duty just to go compete in an international game tournament is no easy miracle. I think I’m pretty on point when I say the whole country is behind you in spirit. Go get ‘em Tiger :) .

- To Gackt: The annoying flying-tatsu Ryu has finally blossomed into the rekka-spamming Feilong. Oh how times have changed. Not everyone knows but Gackt has really practiced hard for this tournament. His effort certainly should be applauded. Remember the GAACCCCKTTTT Fan Club will be cheering you on!

- To Spore: Your one of my first bugis buddies (its mahvel baby~!) and it really seems like I’ve known you forever since the first time I chatted with you after getting raped by your MSS. Your passion for the game is unbeatable. Show the world what you are made of.

- To HZY: Hello my annoying backdashing, seismic spamming Viper rival/friend. Any chance you can tell me how you land unblockable burn kick > u1 midscreen? do you have any setups for it or just buffer motion and confirm? =X Haha. I suspect you will get asked that a lot more when you demonstrate how CB your Viper is on the grand stage ;) .

- To VintageSoul: Jealous that you get to cross another item off the “Things to do before you die” list :( . Guardianship duty befalls on you yet again lol. This trip is going to be tiring, but I just know its gonna be so much fun. Its time to update your fighting game resume and add the title of “Justin Wong Killa” or “Floe Killa” in mahvel :D .

Really wish I could go with you guys! Oh well :( . Rest assured I will be following you guys on stream along with the whole of Singapore and other well wishers :)
